Tiny Tums
Tiny Tums is a visual aid that demonstrates the size of a newborn baby's stomach and so helps to demonstrate why young babies need small, frequent feeds.
It is a small organza bag that contains three balls; indicating the size of a newborn’s stomach on days one, three and ten. Also included is explanatory information and references.
It will be a useful addition to the tool kits of parent and health professional educators, breastfeeding counsellors, lactation consultants, child and family health nurses, midwives and anyone running breastfeeding education classes.
