The purpose of this module is designed to help you gain an understanding of gastro-oesophageal reflux and how it can be managed in the breastfed infant. Key content areas: General management of an unsettled baby; The range of symptoms seen in babies with GOR; How frequently GOR may occur; The ages at which infants have most and least symptoms; General management of a baby with GOR; Breastfeeding management of a baby with GOR; The association with cow's milk or other food allergy in some cases of GOR; The use of feed thickeners in the management of GOR; The marketing and use of a commercial infant formula for infants suffering from GOR.
