Mothers Direct is the sales division of the Lactation Resource Centre, commonly known as the LRC. The LRC is based in Melbourne, Australia and provides the community and health care industry with comprehensive and readily useable information resources on all aspects of human lactation. 

The LRC was established by the Australian Breastfeeding Association (then Nursing Mothers' Association of Australia) in 1989, and has grown rapidly to become one of the most comprehensive collections of breastfeeding information in the world, with a collection of more than 20,000 articles and books, videos and case histories.

With its staff of experts in the field of human lactation, the LRC provides services to many local and international individuals and organisations, and is regularly consulted by government and world agencies.

Products include books, brochures, posters, continuing education materials, multi-lingual resources, parent education materials, lactation aids and much more for the health professional working with pregnant and breastfeeding women.
