'The Gift - a woman's song' CD has been produced to raise funds to establish Australia's first human milk bank.

Marea Ryan has worked as a midwife and lactation consultant for many years. She has formed the not-for-profit company Mothers Milk Bank and is working towards having the milk bank open in 2006.

All income from the CD will go towards providing equipment to set up and maintain the bank.

All artists on the CD donated their time and it features all-female vocals and original songs by artists such as The Waifs, Mia Dyson, Tiffany Eckhardt, Melissa Forbes and Elixir featuring Katie Noonan.
